CAMARILLO SOAR INITIATIVE
Camarillo SOAR Measure J was passed by more than 73% of the voters ensuring that the citizens of Camarillo will be included in the decision making process should a major development be proposed for the farmland in the” Conejo Creek Voter Participation Area” at the bottom of the Conejo Grade. It was clean sweep, the SOAR measures passed in all 8 cities and in the unincorporated Ventura County area.
Calleguas Land Co has once again submitted a General Plan Amendment to the City Council to develop the "Conejo Creek Properties", roughly the same area that is now in the Voter Participation Area in the newly adopted Camarillo SOAR Measure J.
