This Could Be It! Next Wed, Sept 10th
At the end of the last Hearing, the City Council expressed their many concerns about the Conejo Creek project.
AND THEN OUT OF THE BLUE, they voted to “revisit’ and review the Conejo Creek project General Plan Amendment referral…which started the Development Project  in the first place.
This is wonderful news, because one of the possibilities could be to “Rescind the Referral”!This may be the MOST IMPORTANT meeting in this long 7 year battle. The City Council could “plow” the project under at this meeting, but “it’s not over ’til it’s over” so we once again must pack City Hall to overflowing.YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!

Now we get to advocate for keeping this nearly 900 acres of farmland!
  • Farmland does not create more traffic.
  • This farmland allows flood waters to spread and replenish our local Pleasant Valley aquifer.
  • This farmland uses reclaimed water leaving more potable water in our aquifer.
  • This farmland helps to protect NBVC from encroachment.
  • This farmland keeps the wildlife corridor under the 101 freeway “open” for animal movement.
  • Farmland is not noisy.
  • This farmland provides our community room to breathe.
  • This farmland welcomes us home and makes our Camarillo Gateway unique.
  • This farmland is extremely productive.  Crops grow year-round and agriculture pumps $$$ into our economy.
YOU have been the best! We cannot win this battle without supporters like you. Now, ONE MORE TIME…hopefully!
If you haven’t attended before, come on down and join the community effort!
See you all next Wednesday, at the Sept 10th meeting.  It starts at 7:30 pm and this will be the first item on the Agenda.

“The People are the City” but only if you show up and let them know how you feel!
